Blessed. That’s about the best word to describe how we feel about adopting Tucker from Colonial Village Labradoodles. Mindi and Kyle and their six children lavish the puppies with love and care and when they say the dogs and pups are pets first and breeding prospects second, you can count on it.
Mindi has a sixth sense about the puppies and the perspective families and does all she can to match lifestyles and personalities to the traits she sees in the puppies. She went out of her way to make sure we had the match that would work for us.
We are lucky enough to live just a few miles from the McMillan’s so we have seen first hand the beautiful home in the country where the puppy moms and puppies are part of the family. Depending on the time of day, one or more of the moms will be sauntering around the house, stopping for a hug from one of the McMillan clan. The puppies spend their early weeks housed in the “nursery” before being moved out to the playpen in the screen room where their days are spent snoozing with occasional romps in the yard with the kids.
Mindi is on a mission with her dogs. She knows what a difference they can make in people’s lives and she does everything she can to assure she breeds healthy, well adjusted puppies. It is obvious that much time and care has been given to socializing Tucker as he is so mellow he even slept through 4th of July fireworks! As first time puppy parents, we were more than a little apprehensive about training and caring for the little guy. Mindi has been patient in guiding us through these first few weeks.
This couldn’t have been a more pleasant experience and we’d recommend a puppy from the McMillan’s without hesitation.
